Bancha tea is a more valuable quality than green tea, in reality it is the plant itself, what changes is the way the raw material is collected. While the leaves to obtain green tea are harvested at the beginning of the ripening season, for bancha tea expects the end of the season, when the leaves and twigs reach a better quality and the percentage of theine drops further.
