Among the products of the hive, pollen is the most balanced in its components and is very rich in nutrients useful for the body. For this reason, it is considered by many to be a complete food.

What is pollen used for? Over 50 elements have been discovered by laboratory analyses: vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, enzymes, coenzymes, sugars, lipids, yeasts. In particular,  pollen has a high content of plant-based proteins and contains the most important essential amino acids: substances that are essential for us, but that the body is not able to produce autonomously and that are assimilated only through food.

Still the subject of study, due to the complexity of its composition and to study in depth the countless  properties  that are attributed to it, precisely because of its protein content, pollen is considered an excellent food, especially for those who follow vegetarian and low-protein diets.

Laboratory analyses show that 100 grams of pollen contain approximately 20 grams of proteins. A high quantity if you consider that, for the same weight, sea bass and cod contain 16.50 and 15.6 grams of protein respectively and an adult beef fillet contains 20.5 grams.
